2020 was a year for significant change – for patients, for hospitals, for businesses, and for daily life.
The many obstacles we have faced as a country – and as an entire world – against the Sars-COV-2 virus have made life very different from what we are used to. But during this time, we have seen a profound resilience in the American people. And it was with this same resilience – and hope – Integrity Laboratories felt called to protect. That is why last year we decided to transform our laboratory from an infectious disease diagnostic company to solely focus our efforts entirely on COVID-19 testing.
From gaining Emergency Use Authorization from the FDA in early March of 2020, to partnering with a number of hospital systems in the region, we have provided accurate and expedited COVID-19 testing to those in our community, state, and region. During a time full of concern and trepidation, you – our patients, physicians, and technicians – have continued to trust us with your COVID-19 diagnostic results.
And we are grateful for it.
The Pinnacle Business Award for Innovation
Just this past month, The Knoxville Chamber announced we received the 2021 ‘Innovator’ Pinnacle Business Award for ‘providing comprehensive, state-of-the-art clinical laboratory testing with the highest standards of honesty, transparency, and integrity.’
We dedicate this ‘Innovator Award’ to the tireless emergency workers who fought so hard to combat the rising tide of COVID-19 and continue to do so. We also dedicate it to all those who were affected by the Sars-COV-2 virus, and those who continue to be. May we persist in our support to those that need it and further emulate the Volunteer Spirit of our great state.
We were honored to be nominated by our hospital system partners for this award, and we plan to continue our contributions and commitment to Knoxville and surrounding communities. Though we are no longer solely focused on COVID-19 testing, we’re expanding our efforts to develop even more innovative technology to overcome other challenges in infectious disease diagnostics.
As our team grows and our ability to create new technology in the diagnostics field continues, we will carry the honor of this Pinnacle Business Award through every endeavor.
To our patients, our partners, and our loved ones – this is simply the first step we at Integrity Laboratories plan on making to combat many of the challenges in the medical world. Together, we will break new ground as we develop exciting new ways to fight other issues, such as our mission against antibiotic resistance – all the while offering best-in-class infectious diseases diagnostics.
